Roser Park Geography

The Roser Park topography is like nothing else in the City of St. Petersburg or all of Tampa Bay, for that matter.  Gentle hills and brick streets lined with granite curbs, rusticated brick walls, and hex block sidewalks greet the visitor.  The yards and streets are lined with mature oaks, royal and native palms, mahogany, rosewood, maple and jacaranda to name a few.  A rambling brook, Booker Creek, meanders quietly along the northern boundary of the neighborhood as it makes its way to Bayboro Harbor and Tampa Bay.  An outdoor walking tour was installed by Historic Roser Park Neighborhood Association last year, a project that received the First Place awards for the City of St. Petersburg.

A public park, aptly named Roser Park, provides an amphitheater setting for lunchtime visitors, children, dog walks, migratory birds and water fowl.
